Organized group rides & Exclusive Offer for Cyclists
Cycle to Kate Bowie at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts (6450 Deer Lake Park, Burnaby) in an organized group ride. Cyclists get $15 tickets (regular $32/$27) with the bike2bolt discount code online or over the phone, or by showing your bike helmet at the box office.
In 1981, Kate Bush and David Bowie rented a mansion in a remote part of England to work on an album together. Thirty years later, Maiko Yamamoto and James Long of Theatre Replacement spent a month together in a cabin with a keyboard, electric guitar and some gin, recreating that collaboration to examine the complexities of an 18-year old partnership.
Kate Bowie features Lighting Design by longtime TR collaborator Jonathan Ryder (Sexual Practices of the Japanese, Winners and Losers) and welcomes new collaborators: Sound Artist Emma Hendrix (Sound Composition and Design) and Visual Artist Leah Weinstein (Costume Design). Kate Bowie is proud to be a Signature Program of Vancouver Asian Heritage Month?s explorASIAN 2014 Festival.
